Mark Ferguson has been teaching piano for over 35 years, with studios in California, Paris, France, and now in New Hampshire. He began seriously studying piano at the age of eight. His teachers have included Peter Yazbek (President of American Music Teachers' Guild and Head of Piano Department at University of California Santa Barbara); Françoise Regnat (Head of Piano Department at California State University, Northridge); Mark Alain at the Conservatoire de Musique Alfred Cortot in Paris, France; and Eric Stumacher (Director of the Keene Chamber Orchestra and Founder / Former Artistic Director of Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music) in New Hampshire.
Though Mark has studied mainly classical piano, he has also performed with jazz and rock bands. Teaching all levels and any style, Mark emphasizes a relaxed, natural approach to the piano while encouraging a general understanding of music and harmony.
